Daniel Oaxaca has over 20 years of experience with troubled youth and their families with the goal of empowering them through employment training, secondary education and support services.
Mr Oaxaca draws upon his background of survival in Eastside Los Angeles and has preserved in the goal of breaking the cycle of gang involvement and youth
violence. Throughout his career as mentor, counselor, community leader and successful businessman, Mr. Oaxaca has worked hard to bring opportunities for success to young probationers. “A Hand Up, Not a Hand Out” remains his philosophy today.
Mr. Oaxaca’s belief in giving young people an opportunity for personal success through individual achievements in job training and placement is realized in The San Gabriel Valley Conservation Corps.
