Training Today for the Jobs of Tomorrow

Program Overview
Receive paid, on-the-job training, hands-on work experience, and environmental education through our urban greening and environmental service projects.
 
What You’ll Do
Work in crews dispatched throughout the greater San Gabriel Valley, gaining real-world experience while serving your community. Projects include:

  • Habitat restoration

  • Alley cleanups and recycling

  • Park and community garden construction

  • Fire prevention and vegetation management

  • Tree planting and urban greening

  • Trail refurbishment

  • Food waste rescue and redistribution

  • Affordable housing construction

  • And more

 
Who Can Join

  • Young adults ages 18–26 interested in environmental work, workforce training, and career exploration

 
What You’ll Gain

Education, Credentials & Support
Participants may earn:

  • Specialized workforce certifications

  • College or trade school scholarships

  • Case Management Services to help navigate barriers

  • High school diploma completion through our partner YouthBuild Charter School of California

Receive step-by-step support from our Corps Navigation Team, including:

  • Individualized career planning

  • Job placement assistance

  • College and trade school enrollment support

  • Post-program transition and alumni services

Corps 2 Career 
Through our Corps-to-Career (C2C) department, we provide career and psychological counseling, life skills workshops, case management, certified trainings, and one-on-one assistance with resumes, job and college applications and job placement.

Support Services
The C2C staff also works collaboratively with 211 to assist corpsmembers in enrolling in CalFresh, CalWORKS, Medi-Cal, behavior health services, and earned income tax credit. C2C maintains strong employer partnerships to ensure Corpsmembers transition with jobs and the skills and certifications they need to succeed.
