WHO WE ARE
The San Gabriel Valley Conservation Corps (SGVCC) empowers young adults in the San Gabriel Valley through academic, vocational, and leadership development opportunities paired with paid employment. Our work supports both personal growth and community impact, preparing participants to build meaningful careers while improving the environment and the neighborhoods they serve.
SGVCC offers a non-traditional pathway to education and job training that emphasizes hands-on learning and real-world experience. Through service, participants develop essential workplace skills such as teamwork, self-discipline, commitment, responsibility, and determination - qualities that are highly valued by employers across industries.
Our program is designed to help young people gain the skills, confidence, and education needed to thrive in life. Participants work in teams to restore and revitalize natural spaces and community areas, guided by experienced adult leaders who serve as mentors, role models, technical trainers, and supervisors. Together, we create opportunities that strengthen individuals, communities, and the environment.
