ABOUT SGVCC
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

The San Gabriel Valley Conservation Corps (SGVCC) was founded in 2003 to serve the San Gabriel Valley by creating opportunities for young adults to grow, lead, succeed, and contribute to their communities. Rooted in the values of service, equity, and environmental responsibility, SGVCC was established to address both workforce development needs and the preservation of local natural and public spaces.
SGVCC is led by Executive Director, Norma Quiñones, whose leadership guides the organization’s strategic direction, partnerships, and long-term impact. Under this leadership, SGVCC has grown into a trusted community organization known for its commitment to youth development, public service, and collaboration with local agencies, municipalities, and nonprofit partners.
As a nonprofit organization, SGVCC operates with a mission-driven approach that centers on people, place, and purpose. Our work is shaped by the needs of the San Gabriel & Pomona Valleys, and strengthened by the dedication of our staff, Corpsmembers, board of directors, and community partners. Together, we strive to build a stronger, more resilient region by investing in the next generation of leaders.
